The 5-Day Easy Rider Motorbike Tour from Nha Trang to Ho Chi Minh City takes you from Vietnam’s stunning coastline into the cool mountains of Da Lat and through the beautiful landscapes of the Central Highlands. Ride along winding mountain roads, visit coffee plantations, waterfalls, and ethnic minority villages, and experience a side of Vietnam that few travelers get to see.

As the journey continues south, you'll discover rural countryside, local culture, and historic sites before arriving in bustling Ho Chi Minh City. The adventure ends with a visit to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, offering a fascinating insight into Vietnam’s wartime history. TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1: NHA TRANG →  DALAT: 150 KM

From the Coast to the Cool Highlands of Da Lat

Leaving the coastal city of Nha Trang, we begin our journey with a visit to the historic Po Nagar Cham Towers, an ancient Hindu temple complex built by the Cham civilization. This remarkable site offers fascinating insights into the rich cultural heritage of the former Kingdom of Champa and features impressive architecture influenced by both local and Indian traditions.

From here, we ride westward into the mountains, following winding roads that climb from the coastline to the Central Highlands. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of lush forests, rolling hills, and spectacular mountain scenery. We stop at scenic viewpoints and visit a beautiful natural waterfall near Hon Giao Pass, located over 1,500 meters above sea level, where you can relax and take in the fresh mountain air.

Continuing through the countryside, we pass sugarcane plantations, rice fields, and small rural communities, offering a glimpse into local agricultural life. As we approach Da Lat, we visit the famous Linh Phuoc Pagoda, one of Vietnam’s most unique Buddhist temples. Known for its extraordinary mosaics made from broken glass and ceramics, the pagoda is home to a magnificent dragon sculpture and stunning handcrafted artwork.

Arriving in Da Lat in the late afternoon, you will have time to explore the charming mountain city, known for its cool climate, pine forests, and French colonial architecture.

DAY 2: DALAT →  LAK LAKE: 160 KM

Coffee Plantations, Silk Villages & Elephant Waterfall

Your Easy Rider adventure begins at 8:30 AM as we leave Da Lat and ride through the beautiful countryside of the Central Highlands. The morning takes us through flower-growing villages where local farmers cultivate roses, lilies, gerberas, and many other flowers that are distributed throughout Vietnam every day.

Continuing along winding mountain roads, we descend through one of the most scenic passes in the region before arriving at a coffee plantation. Here, you'll learn how coffee is grown, harvested, and processed in Vietnam. Discover the differences between Robusta, Arabica, Moka, and the famous Weasel Coffee while enjoying a freshly brewed cup overlooking the surrounding hills.

The journey continues with a visit to a local family producing traditional rice wine. Learn about the production process and, if you wish, sample a small glass of the local "happy water". We then visit a traditional silk factory where you'll see the fascinating journey from silkworm cocoon to finished silk products.

After lunch, we stop at Elephant Waterfall and nearby Linh An Pagoda, home to a giant Happy Buddha and one of the tallest Lady Buddha statues in southern Vietnam. 

In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic ride through rice fields, fishing villages, and countryside roads before visiting a floating fishing village. Arrive at Lak Lake around 5:00 PM and relax beside one of Vietnam's largest natural freshwater lakes.

DAY 3:  LAK LAKE → DAK MIL:  120 KM

Lak Lake Sunrise Canoe & Dray Sap Waterfall

Wake up early and start the day with one of the most memorable experiences of the entire tour – a traditional dugout canoe trip on Lak Lake. As the morning mist rises above the water, local fishermen begin their daily work while water buffalo wander along the shoreline. The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful scenery make this a perfect introduction to life in Vietnam's Central Highlands.

After breakfast, we take a walk through a traditional M'nong village located beside the lake. The M'nong people have lived in this region for generations and continue to maintain many of their traditional customs. As we explore the village, you'll see wooden stilt houses, local farms, and gain a better understanding of the daily life, culture, and history of one of Vietnam's most fascinating ethnic minority groups.

Leaving Lak Lake behind, we continue riding through quiet countryside roads and agricultural landscapes towards Dray Sap Waterfall. Known as one of the largest and most impressive waterfalls in Dak Lak Province, Dray Sap offers a completely different environment from the open countryside we've travelled through earlier in the day.

There is plenty of time to relax, take photos, or enjoy a swim at the waterfall. Depending on the day, we may stop at a local market beforehand to purchase fresh ingredients for a picnic lunch inside the national park or enjoy lunch at a nearby local restaurant.

After exploring the waterfall area, we take a short walk through the forest to discover another hidden waterfall before continuing our journey. The afternoon ride takes us through rice fields, villages, and farming communities where we visit local cocoa plantations, incense workshops, and seasonal mushroom farms.

Arrive in Dak Mil in the late afternoon.

DAY 4: DAK MIL → DONG XOAI:  196 KM

Ho Chi Minh Road & Vietnam–Cambodia Border Roads

Today offers some of the most remote riding of the entire journey as we head south along sections of the historic Ho Chi Minh Trail. After breakfast, we begin riding through rolling hills, forests, and agricultural regions that played an important role during the Vietnam War. Along the way, your guide will explain the history of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, how it was constructed, and why it became one of the most important supply routes during the conflict.

Our first stop is a cocoa plantation where you'll learn about the cultivation and processing of cacao beans. Vietnam's cocoa industry may be relatively small compared to coffee production, but it produces some excellent quality chocolate products.

Continuing south, we ride through beautiful landscapes near the Vietnam–Cambodia border. This region remains largely untouched by mass tourism and offers a glimpse into rural Vietnam far from the busy cities.

During the day, we visit a cashew plantation and processing facility. This region is one of the largest cashew-producing areas in the country, and you'll have the opportunity to see how cashews are prepared for export around the world.

DAY 5: DONG XOAI→ SAI GON: 130 KM

 Discover Vietnam War history and experience the vibrant chaos of Ho Chi Minh City.

The final day of the journey brings you closer to Vietnam’s largest city while continuing to explore the country's remarkable history. After breakfast, visit a historic bridge connected to the French colonial period and the years of conflict that followed, offering further insight into the region's past.

The highlight of the day is a visit to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, one of Vietnam’s most important historical landmarks. This vast underground network played a significant role during the Vietnam War and offers a fascinating glimpse into the ingenuity, resilience, and daily life of those who lived and operated beneath the surface. Visitors can explore selected sections of the tunnels and learn about their historical importance through informative displays and guided explanations.

After lunch, continue toward the bustling streets of Ho Chi Minh City. The contrast between the quiet countryside roads of the previous days and the energy of Vietnam’s economic hub marks a fitting conclusion to the adventure.

Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City between 3:00 and 4:00 PM.

• Departure time: 8:30 AM from your hotel or the requested location in Nha Trang city.
• The tour price does not include a support vehicle, but we can arrange these services for an additional cost if needed.
• The tour cost can be changed depending on the low/high tourist season or other special requests. Please contact us to get the right price for your tour.
• While direct access to Elephant Waterfall is temporarily restricted, visitors can still admire its impressive beauty from the viewing area at Linh An Pagoda.
• If you would like meals to be included, an additional charge of USD 20 per person per day will apply.
• This is a private tour. We do not combine different bookings into large groups.
• Flexible departure dates are available throughout the year.

MOTORBIKE INFORMATION

• Easy Rider passengers will ride on Honda Winner 150cc, Honda XR150, or other reliable, larger-displacement motorcycles that are well-suited to these mountain passes and winding roads, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey.
• No scooters are used on this tour.
• Self-riding motorcycles are available for an additional rental fee.
• For self-riding guests, we recommend bringing your own riding gear, including a jacket, pants, gloves, and appropriate shoes or boots, as the sizes of our protective equipment may not be suitable for everyone.
• Guests wishing to self-ride should hold a valid International Driving Permit (IDP – 1968 Convention) together with the appropriate motorcycle licence from their home country. Some licenses may not be valid in Vietnam. Please contact us for guidance on how to ride legally in Vietnam if your license is not valid. 
• Citizens from all Southeast Asian countries can legally ride a motorbike in Vietnam using their valid domestic motorcycle license. There is no need to convert it to an International Driving Permit (IDP), according to the ASEAN agreement on mutual recognition of driving licenses among Southeast Asian countries.

LUGGAGE

• The backpack can be carried securely on the motorcycle or arranged separately upon request.

• For convenience, we recommend traveling with a backpack instead of a suitcase, as it is easier to secure on the motorcycle. If needed, we can arrange to transport your suitcase separately to the tour's endpoint; however, an additional transportation fee will apply.
