The 5-Day Buon Ma Thuot to Ho Chi Minh City Motorbike Tour is an unforgettable adventure through some of Southern Vietnam’s most diverse landscapes. Starting in the heart of the Central Highlands, you'll ride through coffee plantations, ethnic minority villages, waterfalls, and scenic mountain roads before reaching the cool mountain city of Da Lat.

The journey continues through spectacular mountain passes to the coastal town of Mui Ne, famous for its fishing villages, white sand dunes, and beautiful beaches. Along the way, you'll experience authentic local culture, breathtaking scenery, and hidden gems before finishing in the vibrant city of Ho Chi Minh City.

TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1: BUON MA THUOT CITY( BMT) →  LAK LAKE : 130 KM

Waterfalls, Elephant Rock & Lak Lake Adventure

Before leaving Buon Ma Thuot, Vietnam’s coffee capital, we visit the Dak Lak Museum (closed on Mondays), one of the region’s most important cultural landmarks. Designed in the style of a traditional longhouse, the museum offers fascinating insights into the history, culture, and daily life of the Central Highlands' ethnic communities. Your guide will introduce the ethnology and history exhibitions, helping you better understand the traditions of the Ede, M’nong, and Gia Rai people, as well as the region’s role in Vietnam’s history.

Leaving the city behind, we stop at a local cocoa plantation where you can learn about the chocolate-making process. We then continue through the countryside to visit local family-run workshop producing traditional noodles. The journey continues through vast rubber tree forests, the region’s most important agricultural products. Along the way, you'll gain a closer look at rural life in the Central Highlands and learn about local farming practices.

After lunch, we visit the spectacular Dray Nur Waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Central Highlands. Surrounded by dense forest, it is a perfect place to relax, take photos, and enjoy the refreshing natural scenery. Next, we stop at the famous Elephant Rock, where a short hike to the summit rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, farmland, and countryside.

In the afternoon, we continue riding through traditional villages, vast rice fields, and scenic countryside roads on the outskirts of Lak Lake. Depending on the season, you'll also have the opportunity to see cashew plantations, one of the region's important agricultural crops. As we approach Lak Lake, the landscape becomes increasingly peaceful, with rolling hills, farmland, and traditional M’nong villages creating a beautiful backdrop. Arriving at Lak Lake in the late afternoon, you can relax and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of one of the Central Highlands' most picturesque destinations.

DAY 2: LAK LAKE → DALAT: 160 KM

Lake Sunrise, Coffee Culture & Easy Rider Roads to Da Lat

An early start rewards us with one of the most peaceful experiences of the entire tour. At sunrise, we take a traditional dugout canoe across the calm waters of Lak Lake, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Vietnam’s Central Highlands. Surrounded by rolling hills, forests, and M’nong villages, the lake offers a glimpse into a way of life that has remained unchanged for generations. Along the shoreline, you may spot fishermen casting their nets, water buffalo grazing nearby, and local villagers beginning their day.

Back on land, we take time to explore Lak Village, where the indigenous M’nong people continue to preserve their traditional stilt houses, handicrafts, and unique cultural heritage. Walking through the village provides an authentic insight into daily life in the Central Highlands, far from the busy tourist routes.

Leaving Lak Lake behind, our Easy Rider motorbike tour heads south through scenic countryside roads toward Da Lat. The ride features beautiful mountain landscapes, winding roads, and endless views of coffee farms and farmland that make this region one of the highlights of any Vietnam motorbike adventure.

Along the way, we stop at a local coffee plantation, where you will learn about Vietnam’s coffee industry and sample different varieties, including Robusta, Arabica, and the famous Weasel Coffee. We then visit a local family to discover the traditional process of making homemade rice wine and enjoy a tasting of this strong local specialty.

In the afternoon, we continue to a traditional silkworm factory, where you can see the fascinating journey from cocoon to silk products. Our final major stop is the impressive Elephant Waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls near Da Lat. Nearby, we visit a Buddhist temple complex featuring a giant Happy Buddha and one of the tallest Lady Buddha statues in southern Vietnam.

After a rewarding day combining nature, culture, and some of the best riding roads in the Central Highlands, we arrive in Da Lat at approximately 5:00 PM.

Overnight: Homestay in Dalat.

DAY 3: DALAT → MUI NE: 180 KM

From the Cool Highlands to the Sand Dunes of Mui Ne

Leaving the cool mountain city of Da Lat, we begin the day with a visit to Robin Hill, one of the best viewpoints overlooking the city, offering panoramic views of pine forests, lakes, and surrounding hills. We then continue to the K’ho ethnic village, also known as Chicken Village, where you'll learn about the traditions and daily life of one of the Central Highlands' indigenous communities.

Riding through the countryside, we pass pepper plantations and stop to learn about one of the region’s most important agricultural products. Depending on the season, you may also have the opportunity to taste fresh pepper directly from the farm.

Our next highlight is the spectacular Pongour Waterfall, often considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Southern Vietnam. Surrounded by lush forest, its wide multi-tiered cascades create a stunning natural setting and an excellent opportunity for photos and exploration.

After lunch, the landscape gradually changes as we descend from the mountains toward the coastal plains. Along the way, we visit local dragon fruit farms, where you can learn about the cultivation of this famous fruit and sample it fresh from the garden during harvest season.

Arriving in Mui Ne, we explore the region's most iconic natural attractions, including the famous White Sand Dunes. Shaped by coastal winds, these rolling dunes create a spectacular desert-like landscape unlike anywhere else in Vietnam.

We then visit the colorful Mui Ne Fishing Village, where hundreds of traditional fishing boats line the bay, before taking a relaxing walk through the Fairy Stream. This unique natural attraction winds through striking red and white sand formations, creating one of the most distinctive landscapes in the region.

Arriving at our hotel in the late afternoon, you will have time to relax and enjoy the coastal atmosphere of Mui Ne.

DAY 4: MUI NE → LONG HAI: 190 KM

Coastal Road and Minh Dam Army Base

The motorbike journey today from Mui Ne to Long Hai is a picturesque coastal route that showcases some of Vietnam's most stunning seaside scenery. Starting in Mui Ne, a popular beach destination known for its sand-dunes and beaches, the route takes us along winding coastal roads with breathtaking views of the South China Sea. One of the highlights of this journey is Ke Ga Islet, located about halfway along the route. This small islet is home to Vietnam’s oldest lighthouse, built by the French in the late 19th century. The Ke Ga Lighthouse, standing against a backdrop of rocky cliffs and turquoise waters, offers a unique photo opportunity and a chance to explore an untouched part of Vietnam's coastline.

As we continue toward Long Hai, we’ll pass through traditional fishing villages, stunning coastal cliffs, and peaceful beaches. The road is lined with coconut trees and fishing boats, creating an ideal mix of natural beauty and local culture. This scenic drive is perfect for those looking to enjoy a slower-paced, coastal journey with plenty of opportunities to stop, take in the views, and discover hidden gems along Vietnam's beautiful southeastern coast.
Before coming to our hotel in Long Hai, we will visit the Minh Dam Army Base, a historic site of the Vietnam war that served as a strategic base for the Viet Minh and Viet Cong forces during the wars against French and American forces. Located in the Minh Dam Mountains, it’s a place of both natural beauty and historical significance, as the rocky terrain and dense forests provide excellent cover and strategic advantage for guerrilla fighters. We arrive at our hotel at 5 pm.

DAY 5: LONG HAI → HO CHI MINH CITY: 120 KM

Salt Farms, Dong Nai Ferry, and Saigon Arrival

We start early from Long Hai to avoid the busy highway traffic heading toward Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s largest and most dynamic metropolis. As we leave the coastal town behind, the road quickly turns into a mix of countryside scenery and rural life.

Our first stop is the traditional salt farms of Long Hai, where locals continue the centuries-old method of harvesting salt through natural evaporation. The white salt fields stretching under the sun create a unique and photogenic landscape, offering a glimpse into one of Vietnam’s most important coastal livelihoods.

Continuing the journey, we visit a peaceful Zen Monastery, designed with a blend of traditional Vietnamese Buddhist architecture and minimalist Zen style. This quiet stop is perfect for a short walk, meditation atmosphere, and a refreshing break from the road.

We then continue inland to the impressive Cao Dai Temple, one of Vietnam’s most unique spiritual sites. Caodaism combines elements of Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism, and Confucianism, symbolizing harmony between different beliefs and cultures.

From here, we take the short Dong Nai River ferry crossing, offering a calm and scenic moment before entering the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City. By mid-afternoon, we arrive in Ho Chi Minh City before rush hour, marking the end of an unforgettable motorbike journey from coast to countryside, mountains, and cultural heartlands of Vietnam.

• Departure time: 8:30 AM from your hotel or the requested location in BMT city.
• The tour price does not include a support vehicle, but we can arrange this service for an additional cost if needed.
• The tour cost can be changed depending on the low/high tourist season or other special requests. Please contact us to get the right price for your tour.
• Please note that the Dak Lak Museum is closed every Monday.
• While direct access to Elephant Waterfall is temporarily restricted, visitors can still admire its impressive beauty from the viewing area at Linh An Pagoda.
• If you would like meals to be included, an additional charge of USD 20 per person per day will apply.
• This is a private tour. We do not combine different bookings into large groups.

MOTORBIKE INFORMATION

• Easy Rider passengers will ride on Honda Winner 150cc, Honda XR150, or other reliable, larger-displacement motorcycles that are well-suited to these mountain passes and winding roads, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey.
• No scooters are used on this tour.
• Self-riding motorcycles are available for an additional rental fee.
• For self-riding guests, we recommend bringing your own riding gear, including a jacket, pants, gloves, and appropriate shoes or boots, as the sizes of our protective equipment may not be suitable for everyone.
• Guests wishing to self-ride should hold a valid International Driving Permit (IDP – 1968 Convention) together with the appropriate motorcycle licence from their home country. Some licenses may not be valid in Vietnam. Please contact us for guidance on how to ride legally in Vietnam if your license is not valid. 
• Citizens from all Southeast Asian countries can legally ride a motorbike in Vietnam using their valid domestic motorcycle license. There is no need to convert it to an International Driving Permit (IDP), according to the ASEAN agreement on mutual recognition of driving licenses among Southeast Asian countries.

LUGGAGE

• The backpack can be carried securely on the motorcycle or arranged separately upon request.

• For convenience, we recommend traveling with a backpack instead of a suitcase, as it is easier to secure on the motorcycle. If needed, we can arrange to transport your suitcase separately to the tour's endpoint; however, an additional transportation fee will apply.
