TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1: HANOI TO VU LINH (THAC BA LAKE): 180 KM

Leave the bustling capital behind, ride through peaceful countryside and the Red River Delta, then cruise across the tranquil waters of Thac Ba Lake before experiencing the warm hospitality of a traditional Dao family.

Your adventure begins at 8:30 AM as you leave Hanoi behind and follow the scenic roads along the Red River Dyke. This peaceful route offers a refreshing escape from the city's traffic, passing endless rice fields, quiet farming villages, and beautiful rural landscapes.

Continuing through Vietnam's northern midlands, you'll enjoy a relaxing ride on smooth countryside roads before stopping for lunch in Doan Hung, a small town well known for its local cuisine.

In the afternoon, the journey becomes even more scenic as winding roads lead you toward the peaceful village of Vu Linh, home to the Dao ethnic minority and located on the shores of the magnificent Thac Ba Lake.

After arriving in the late afternoon, enjoy a one-hour boat trip across the lake, often referred to as the "Halong Bay of the Mountains" thanks to its more than 1,300 islands scattered across crystal-clear waters. End the day with a traditional home-cooked dinner and an overnight stay with a welcoming Dao family.

DAY 2: VU LINH TO PHU YEN: 170 KM

Ride through picturesque valleys, conquer the legendary Lung Lo Pass, explore quiet mountain backroads, and discover the authentic beauty of Son La Province.

Wake up to the peaceful atmosphere of Thac Ba Lake before saying goodbye to your Dao hosts and continuing deeper into Northern Vietnam.

Today's ride takes you through the beautiful countryside of Yen Bai Province, where lush valleys, rice fields, and traditional villages create a constantly changing landscape. After a relaxing morning ride, stop for lunch at a local restaurant before continuing toward one of the day's highlights.

In the afternoon, conquer the famous Lung Lo Pass, a historic mountain road renowned for its sweeping views and smooth curves. Riders looking for a little more adventure can also choose optional off-road sections that wind through peaceful villages and rice fields, offering an even closer connection with local life.

Arrive in Phu Yen in the late afternoon and settle into a comfortable hotel. Depending on the season, you may have the chance to admire the town's beautiful mustard flower fields while experiencing the unique culture of the Muong people.

DAY 3: PHU YEN TO MAI CHAU VALLEY: 160 KM

Follow the spectacular Da River, cross by local ferry, ride across the stunning Moc Chau Plateau, and finish the day in the beautiful Mai Chau Valley surrounded by White Thai villages.

After breakfast, continue your adventure along one of Northern Vietnam's most scenic riding routes as you follow the impressive Da River through peaceful Muong villages surrounded by towering mountains.

A short local ferry crossing adds another memorable experience before climbing toward the cool highlands of Moc Chau Plateau, sitting at around 1,000 meters above sea level. Here you'll enjoy spectacular mountain views and stop for lunch while sampling some of the region's famous local specialties.

In the afternoon, ride over the peaceful Cun Pheo Pass, one of Northern Vietnam's hidden gems, where quiet roads and lush green landscapes make for an unforgettable ride.

Arrive in the picturesque Mai Chau Valley during the late afternoon and check into a traditional White Thai homestay. Enjoy a delicious local dinner before spending the evening experiencing traditional music, dance, and the warm hospitality of your hosts.

DAY 4: MAI CHAU TO HANOI: 170 KM

Ride the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail, pass rolling hills and peaceful countryside, and complete your unforgettable Hanoi motorbike loop with one final scenic ride back to the capital.

After breakfast, bid farewell to the peaceful Mai Chau Valley and begin the final stage of your Northern Vietnam motorbike adventure.

Today's journey follows sections of the historic Ho Chi Minh Trail, one of Vietnam's most scenic riding routes. The smooth roads wind through rolling hills, fertile farmland, and quiet rural communities, offering a relaxing finish to an action-packed tour.

Along the way, stop at a small roadside café overlooking the Ma River, where you can enjoy a traditional Vietnamese coffee while soaking up the peaceful countryside atmosphere one last time.

Continue riding toward Hanoi as the rural landscapes gradually give way to the vibrant energy of the capital. Arrive in the late afternoon, bringing your 4-day Hanoi Motorbike Loop to a memorable conclusion.

• The tour price does not include support vehicle or bus tickets, but we can arrange these services for an additional cost if needed.

MOTORBIKE INFORMATION

• Easy Rider passengers will ride on Honda Winner 150cc, Honda XR150, or other reliable, larger-displacement motorcycles that are well-suited to these mountain passes and winding roads, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey.
• No scooters are used on this tour.
• Self-riding motorcycles are available for an additional rental fee.
• Guests wishing to self-ride should hold a valid International Driving Permit (IDP – 1968 Convention) together with the appropriate motorcycle licence from their home country. Some licenses may not be valid in Vietnam. Please contact us for guidance on how to ride legally in Vietnam if your license is not valid. 
• Citizens from all Southeast Asian countries can legally ride a motorbike in Vietnam using their valid domestic motorcycle license. There is no need to convert it to an International Driving Permit (IDP), according to the ASEAN agreement on mutual recognition of driving licenses among Southeast Asian countries.

LUGGAGE

• The backpack can be carried securely on the motorcycle or arranged separately upon request.

• For convenience, we recommend traveling with a backpack instead of a suitcase, as it is easier to secure on the motorcycle. If needed, we can arrange to transport your suitcase separately to the tour's endpoint; however, an additional transportation fee will apply.
