TOUR ITINERARY

DAY 1: BUON MA THUOT CITY( BMT) →  LAK LAKE: 130 KM

Waterfalls, Elephant Rock & Lak Lake Adventure

Before leaving Buon Ma Thuot, Vietnam’s coffee capital, we visit the Dak Lak Museum (closed on Mondays), one of the region’s most important cultural landmarks. Designed in the style of a traditional longhouse, the museum offers fascinating insights into the history, culture, and daily life of the Central Highlands' ethnic communities. Your guide will introduce the ethnology and history exhibitions, helping you better understand the traditions of the Ede, M’nong, and Gia Rai people, as well as the region’s role in Vietnam’s history.

Leaving the city behind, we stop at a local cocoa plantation where you can learn about the chocolate-making process. We then continue through the countryside to visit local family-run workshop producing traditional noodles. Continuing through the scenic pepper-growing region, you'll have the opportunity to learn about one of the Central Highlands’ most important agricultural products. This part of the journey offers a fascinating glimpse into local farming traditions and the everyday life of rural communities.

After lunch, we visit the spectacular Dray Nur Waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Central Highlands. Surrounded by dense forest, it is a perfect place to relax, take photos, and enjoy the refreshing natural scenery. Next, we stop at the famous Elephant Rock, where a short hike to the summit rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, farmland, and countryside.

In the afternoon, we continue riding through traditional villages, vast rice fields, and scenic countryside roads on the outskirts of Lak Lake. Depending on the season, you'll also have the opportunity to see cashew plantations, one of the region's important agricultural crops. As we approach Lak Lake, the landscape becomes increasingly peaceful, with rolling hills, farmland, and traditional M’nong villages creating a beautiful backdrop. Arriving at Lak Lake in the late afternoon, you can relax and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of one of the Central Highlands' most picturesque destinations.

DAY 2: LAK LAKE → TA DUNG: 130 KM

Experience the tranquil beauty of Lak Lake, connect with M’nong culture, ride through spectacular Central Highlands landscapes, and witness the stunning island-filled waters of Ta Dung Lake.

Start your day at the peaceful Lak Lake, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Vietnam’s Central Highlands. Surrounded by mountains, rice fields, and traditional villages, this scenic destination offers a perfect introduction to the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

In the morning, visit a traditional M’nong ethnic village, where you’ll learn about the customs, daily life, and unique architecture of one of Vietnam’s indigenous communities. Weather permitting, enjoy a relaxing dugout canoe ride on Lak Lake, providing a memorable perspective of the surrounding landscapes.

After breakfast, continue your Easy Rider motorbike adventure toward Ta Dung Lake. The route follows scenic backroads through coffee farms, pepper plantations, rolling hills, and remote rural villages, showcasing the authentic countryside of Vietnam’s Central Highlands.

As the road winds through mountain passes and forested valleys, there will be plenty of opportunities to stop for photographs, coffee breaks, and panoramic viewpoints overlooking spectacular natural scenery.

Along the way, visit a local rubber plantation and discover the fascinating process of rubber production in Vietnam. Learn how latex is harvested from rubber trees and gain insight into an industry that has played an important role in the development of the Central Highlands economy.

In the afternoon, arrive at Ta Dung Lake, often called the “Ha Long Bay of the Central Highlands” due to its breathtaking landscape of emerald waters and dozens of small islands scattered across the lake. This hidden gem is one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Vietnam, offering stunning viewpoints and unforgettable photo opportunities.

The day concludes in the Ta Dung Lake area, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere after a rewarding day of riding through some of the most scenic landscapes in the Central Highlands of Vietnam.

DAY 3: TA DUNG → DALAT: 160 KM

Ride through the stunning Central Highlands of Vietnam, visit a local coffee plantation, explore the famous Pongour Waterfalls, discover traditional silk-making techniques, and experience the cultural and natural highlights of the Da Lat countryside.

After breakfast, we leave the breathtaking landscapes of Ta Dung Lake and begin our final day riding through the scenic countryside of Vietnam’s Central Highlands. Today's journey combines spectacular natural attractions, cultural experiences, and some of the most beautiful motorbike roads leading to Da Lat.

As we travel through rolling hills, coffee plantations, farmland, and peaceful rural villages, you'll experience the authentic charm of the Central Highlands far from the usual tourist routes.

Our first stop is a local coffee plantation, where you'll gain insight into Vietnam’s world-famous coffee industry. Learn about the cultivation and processing of coffee beans while sampling different varieties, including Robusta, Arabica, and the famous weasel (civet) coffee.

The adventure then takes us to the magnificent Pongour Waterfall, often regarded as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Southern Vietnam. Famous for its wide multi-tiered rock formations and lush natural surroundings, Pongour offers a perfect setting for sightseeing, photography, and enjoying the beauty of nature.

After visiting Pongour Waterfall, we continue toward Nam Ban Village, a charming rural area on the outskirts of Da Lat known for its traditional industries and natural attractions.

Here, we stop at a traditional silkworm factory, where you'll discover the fascinating process of silk production, from silkworm cocoons to finished silk products. This visit provides a unique insight into one of the region’s long-standing handicraft industries. Continuing along the route, we visit a local family to experience traditional highland hospitality and taste homemade rice wine, a long-standing part of local culture in rural Vietnam.

Next, we visit the impressive Elephant Waterfall, one of the most powerful and scenic waterfalls in the Da Lat region. Nearby, explore a peaceful Buddhist temple complex featuring a giant Happy Buddha statue and the tallest Lady Buddha statue in Southern Vietnam. Your guide will share insights into local Buddhist traditions, culture, and spiritual practices as you explore this remarkable site.

In the late afternoon, we ride the final stretch into Da Lat, arriving at approximately 5:00 PM. This marks the end of an unforgettable Easy Rider adventure through the Central Highlands, filled with stunning waterfalls, local culture, coffee plantations, scenic countryside roads, and memorable experiences.

TOUR INFORMATION

  • Departure time: 8:30 AM from your hotel or the requested location in Buon Ma Thuot city.
  • The tour price does not include a support vehicle, but we can arrange this service for an additional cost if needed.
  • The tour cost can be changed depending on the low/high tourist season or other special requests. Please contact us to get the right price for your tour.
  • Please note that the Dak Lak Museum is closed every Monday.
  • While direct access to Elephant Waterfall is temporarily restricted, visitors can still admire its impressive beauty from the viewing area at Linh An Pagoda.
  • If you would like meals to be included, an additional charge of USD 20 per person per day will apply.
  • This is a private tour. We do not combine different bookings into large groups.
  • Flexible departure dates are available throughout the year.

  • Private rooms are included at local hotels or homestays throughout the tour.
  • Guests wishing to upgrade their accommodation may choose to stay at Lake Tented Camp (Lake Eco Lodge), or Cai Gui Homestay. Reservations can be made directly with the property, or we can assist with the booking on your behalf. Room rates are subject to availability and will be confirmed once we receive the latest pricing from the resort.
  • For group bookings, guests requesting separate rooms may incur a room supplement fee.

MOTORBIKE INFORMATION

  • Easy Rider passengers will ride on Honda Winner 150cc, Honda XR150, or other reliable, larger-displacement motorcycles that are well-suited to these mountain passes and winding roads, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey.
  • No scooters are used on this tour.
  • Self-riding motorcycles are available for an additional rental fee.
  • Guests wishing to self-ride should hold a valid International Driving Permit (IDP – 1968 Convention) together with the appropriate motorcycle licence from their home country. Some licenses may not be valid in Vietnam. Please contact us for guidance on how to ride legally in Vietnam if your license is not valid. 
  • Citizens from all Southeast Asian countries can legally ride a motorbike in Vietnam using their valid domestic motorcycle license. There is no need to convert it to an International Driving Permit (IDP), according to the ASEAN agreement on mutual recognition of driving licenses among Southeast Asian countries.

LUGGAGE

  • The backpack can be carried securely on the motorcycle or arranged separately upon request.
  • For convenience, we recommend traveling with a backpack instead of a suitcase, as it is easier to secure on the motorcycle. If needed, we can arrange to transport your suitcase separately to the tour's endpoint; however, an additional transportation fee will apply.
