DAY 1: HA NOI TO VU LINH VILLAGE: 170 KM

After breakfast, our guide will meet you at your hotel before heading northwest through the Red River Delta and into the rolling countryside of Northern Vietnam. Along the way, you'll enjoy a mix of rural villages, rice fields, and quiet roads that gradually lead into more mountainous terrain.

By afternoon, we arrive at Vu Linh Village, a peaceful community located on the shores of the beautiful Thac Ba Lake. Home to the Dao ethnic minority people, this traditional village offers a wonderful opportunity to experience authentic local culture, hospitality, and daily life.

Before reaching the village, we stop to admire Thac Ba Lake, one of Vietnam's largest artificial lakes. DAY 2: VU LINH TO BA BE LAKE: 180 KM

After breakfast, we leave Vu Linh Village and continue deeper into the mountains of Northern Vietnam, heading toward the spectacular Ba Be National Park. Today's ride takes us through remote countryside, scenic mountain roads, tea plantations, and traditional ethnic minority villages, offering an authentic glimpse into rural Vietnam far from the tourist crowds.

After breakfast, we leave Ba Be Lake and continue our Northern Vietnam Motorbike Loop toward Cao Bang Province, home to some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in Vietnam. Today's ride follows winding roads through limestone valleys, remote villages, and breathtaking mountain landscapes that make this region a paradise for motorbike enthusiasts.

Along the way, we stop at several scenic viewpoints overlooking rice terraces, rivers, and dramatic karst formations. One of today's cultural highlights is a visit to Phuc Sen Village, famous for its centuries-old blacksmithing tradition. Here, local Nung artisans continue to handcraft knives, farming tools, and household items using techniques passed down through generations.

Continuing deeper into the mountains, we arrive at the magnificent Ban Gioc Waterfall, one of Vietnam's most iconic natural wonders and the largest waterfall in the country. After breakfast, visit the remarkable Nguom Ngao Cave, one of the most impressive natural attractions in Northern Vietnam. Today promises some of the most spectacular riding of the entire journey. Leaving Bao Lac behind, you'll travel along winding mountain roads that cut through the heart of the Dong Van Karst Plateau, a UNESCO Global Geopark renowned for its dramatic limestone landscapes and rich ethnic cultures.

The route takes you across some of Vietnam’s most iconic mountain passes, including the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, often considered the most breathtaking road in the country. Perched high above deep valleys and towering cliffs, the pass offers unforgettable panoramic views of the rugged mountains stretching endlessly across the horizon. Along the way, you'll also pass through Heaven Gate and several remote hill tribe communities, providing opportunities to learn about the traditions and daily lives of the H'Mong and other ethnic minorities who have adapted to this harsh yet beautiful landscape for generations.

After breakfast, depart from Dong Van and begin your journey to Ha Giang City through the heart of the UNESCO-listed Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark. If your visit falls on a Sunday, you may have the opportunity to experience one of the region’s colorful ethnic markets, where H'Mong, Dao, Tay, and other minority groups gather to trade livestock, local produce, traditional clothing, and handmade goods. More than just a marketplace, it is an important social event that has connected mountain communities for generations.

Continue riding through dramatic mountain scenery and stop at the historic Vuong Family Palace in Sa Phin Village. Once home to the influential H'Mong King, this fascinating landmark showcases a unique blend of Chinese, French, and H'Mong architecture while offering insight into the region’s rich history.

Leaving Ha Giang after breakfast, we begin another unforgettable day on the Northern Vietnam Motorbike Loop, riding through some of the most breathtaking mountain landscapes in Northern Vietnam.

The route takes us along winding mountain roads and remote backcountry trails, offering incredible views of the famous Hoang Su Phi rice terraces. Recognized as one of Vietnam's most spectacular agricultural landscapes, this region is renowned for its dramatic valleys, steep mountainsides, and beautifully sculpted terraced fields created by generations of ethnic minority communities.

We continue through the stunning mountain scenery toward Xin Man, a peaceful frontier town surrounded by rugged peaks and traditional villages. If visiting on a Sunday, you'll have the opportunity to explore the famous Bac Ha Market, the largest ethnic minority market in Northwest Vietnam. DAY 8: BAC HA TO SAPA: 120 KM

Ride through spectacular rice terraces, visit Ta Van Village, explore the Vietnam–China border region, and enjoy one of Northern Vietnam's most scenic mountain roads to Sapa.

After breakfast, we leave the colorful highland town of Bac Ha and continue our Northern Vietnam Motorbike Loop toward the famous mountain destination of Sapa. Although today's distance is relatively short, it offers some of the most beautiful scenery of the entire tour.

The ride follows quiet backroads through fertile valleys, traditional villages, and breathtaking terraced rice fields that stretch across the mountainsides. Along the way, we visit Ta Van Village, home to the Giay ethnic minority people. Nestled among rice terraces and mountain streams, the village offers a fascinating glimpse into local traditions, agriculture, and daily life in Northern Vietnam.

Continuing through the countryside, we stop in Pho Rang for lunch before riding toward Lao Cai. The landscape gradually changes as we approach the border region, revealing dramatic mountain views and bustling trading towns.

Before leaving Lao Cai, we make a short stop at the Vietnam–China border, where you can see the Red River dividing the two countries and learn about the importance of this historic gateway between Vietnam and China.

Leaving Sapa after breakfast, we begin another spectacular riding day through the mountains of Northern Vietnam. Today's route is widely regarded as one of the most scenic sections of the Northern Vietnam Motorbike Loop, combining breathtaking mountain passes, ethnic minority cultures, and some of the most beautiful rice terraces in Southeast Asia.

Shortly after departing Sapa, we tackle the legendary O Quy Ho Pass, one of Vietnam's "Four Great Mountain Passes." Rising to over 2,000 meters above sea level, this spectacular road winds through the Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range, offering panoramic views of deep valleys, towering peaks, and endless mountain landscapes. For many riders, this is one of the absolute highlights of any Vietnam motorbike tour.

Continuing south, we ride through remote highland communities and traditional villages inhabited by H'mong, Thai, and other ethnic minority groups. After breakfast, we leave the spectacular rice terraces of Mu Cang Chai and continue our Northern Vietnam Motorbike Loop through some of the most peaceful and least-visited regions of Northwest Vietnam.

Today's ride takes us along scenic mountain roads winding through lush valleys, forested hills, and traditional ethnic minority communities. As we leave the high mountains behind, the landscape gradually changes, revealing rolling hills, fertile farmland, and quiet countryside rarely seen by international travelers.

Throughout the day, we'll enjoy a series of beautiful mountain passes and panoramic viewpoints overlooking rivers, valleys, and remote villages. This section of the journey offers a more relaxed riding experience, allowing you to fully appreciate the natural beauty and authentic atmosphere of Northern Vietnam.

Continuing toward Phu Yen in Son La Province, we pass through vast tea-growing regions where green tea plantations blanket the surrounding hillsides. After breakfast, we continue our Northern Vietnam Motorbike Loop toward the beautiful Mai Chau Valley. Today's ride offers a completely different landscape from the previous mountain regions, featuring river valleys, rolling hills, tea plantations, and traditional ethnic minority villages.

Leaving Phu Yen, we follow one of the most scenic sections of the Da River, riding along winding roads that hug the shoreline between towering mountains and the vast reservoir. The spectacular views often resemble a coastal road, despite being deep in the mountains of Northern Vietnam.

A unique highlight of the day is crossing the Da River by local ferry, providing excellent opportunities to enjoy the surrounding scenery and experience daily life along the river.

After breakfast, we begin the final day of our Hanoi Motorbike Loop, leaving the peaceful countryside of Mai Chau and gradually making our way back toward Vietnam's capital.

Before departing the valley, we enjoy one last ride through beautiful rural landscapes, passing rice fields, limestone mountains, and traditional villages. The route offers a final opportunity to experience the charm and tranquility of Northern Vietnam before returning to the bustling city.

Our first major stop is Hoa Binh Lake, one of the largest artificial lakes in Vietnam. Surrounded by dramatic limestone mountains and scattered islands, the lake provides stunning panoramic views and excellent photo opportunities.

We then visit the Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant, an important engineering landmark and one of the largest hydroelectric projects in Southeast Asia. The site played a significant role in Vietnam's modern development and remains an impressive example of the country's infrastructure achievements.

Continuing toward Hanoi, we stop at the famous Thung Khe Pass (White Stone Pass), one of the most scenic viewpoints in the region. Here, you can enjoy a cup of Vietnamese coffee while admiring sweeping views of the valleys and mountains below.

• Easy Rider passengers will ride on Honda Winner 150cc, Honda XR150, or other reliable, larger-displacement motorcycles that are well-suited to these mountain passes and winding roads, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey.
• No scooters are used on this tour.
• Self-riding motorcycles are available for an additional rental fee.
• For self-riding guests, we recommend bringing your own riding gear, including a jacket, pants, gloves, and appropriate shoes or boots, as the sizes of our protective equipment may not be suitable for everyone.
• Guests wishing to self-ride should hold a valid International Driving Permit (IDP – 1968 Convention) together with the appropriate motorcycle licence from their home country. Some licenses may not be valid in Vietnam. Please contact us for guidance on how to ride legally in Vietnam if your license is not valid. 
• Citizens from all Southeast Asian countries can legally ride a motorbike in Vietnam using their valid domestic motorcycle license. There is no need to convert it to an International Driving Permit (IDP), according to the ASEAN agreement on mutual recognition of driving licenses among Southeast Asian countries.
