DAY 1: HO CHI MINH CITY→  LONG HAI: 120 KM

From Saigon's Bustling Streets to the Coastal Charm of Long Hai

Your 10-day motorbike adventure from Ho Chi Minh City to Hoi An begins as we leave Vietnam's largest and busiest city behind and head toward the beautiful southern coastline.

After meeting at your hotel at 8:30 AM, we set off through the bustling streets of Ho Chi Minh City before taking the Cat Lai Ferry across the Dong Nai River. This short ferry crossing offers a unique glimpse into local life and quickly transports us away from the city's urban energy into the peaceful countryside.

Our first cultural stop is the Cao Dai Temple, home to one of Vietnam's most fascinating indigenous religions. Founded in southern Vietnam in the 1920s, Cao Dai combines elements of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Christianity, and other spiritual traditions, creating a unique belief system found nowhere else in the world.

Continuing through the countryside, we ride past vast rubber plantations that have played an important role in the region's history and economy for more than a century. The scenic roads provide an excellent introduction to rural southern Vietnam, with opportunities to stop for photos and learn about local agriculture.

We then visit a peaceful Zen Monastery, where traditional Vietnamese Buddhist architecture blends harmoniously with tranquil gardens and meditation spaces. Enjoy a relaxing walk through the monastery grounds and experience a quieter side of Vietnamese culture.

After lunch near Binh Chau, we continue toward the coast and visit the traditional salt fields of Long Hai. Here, local farmers harvest sea salt using methods that have been passed down through generations, creating striking landscapes of salt ponds that are particularly photogenic during the dry season.

By mid-afternoon, we arrive in the coastal town of Long Hai and check into our hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax on the beach, enjoy a swim in the sea, or simply unwind after the first day of riding.

DAY 2: LONG HAI→  MUI NE: 180 KM

 Vietnam's Most Scenic Coastal Ride to Mui Ne

Today is one of the longest riding days of the tour, but also one of the most rewarding. Following Vietnam's spectacular southern coastline, you'll experience dramatic ocean views, historic landmarks, fishing villages, and some of the country's most beautiful coastal roads.

After breakfast, we begin with a short ride to a stunning seaside viewpoint, where rugged rock formations meet the South China Sea, providing excellent photo opportunities and a perfect introduction to the day's coastal adventure.

Our next stop is Minh Dam Mountain, a historic wartime stronghold hidden among forests and rocky hills. During a short walk through the area, you'll discover former bunkers, caves, and shelters once used by resistance forces during the conflicts of the 20th century. Beyond its historical significance, the mountain also offers impressive views over the surrounding coastline.

Continuing along the coast, we ride toward Ke Ga Cape, home to Vietnam's oldest lighthouse. Standing proudly on a small offshore island, the historic Ke Ga Lighthouse has guided sailors since the French colonial era and remains one of the country's most iconic coastal landmarks. The surrounding scenery of rocky shores, fishing boats, and endless ocean views makes this one of the highlights of the day.

After lunch in Phan Thiet, we visit Van Thuy Tu Temple, an important cultural site dedicated to the Whale God, revered by generations of Vietnamese fishermen as a protector of those who work at sea. The temple preserves fascinating artifacts and traditions that reflect the deep connection between local communities and the ocean.

Before reaching Mui Ne, we stop at the ancient Cham Towers, one of the few remaining architectural treasures of the Champa Kingdom. Dating back over a thousand years, these historic structures showcase the remarkable craftsmanship and spiritual heritage of one of Southeast Asia's most influential civilizations.

In the late afternoon, we arrive in Mui Ne, Vietnam's famous beach destination known for its golden coastline, fishing villages, and relaxed atmosphere. Check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

DAY 3: MUI NE→ DI LINH: 130 KM  

 From Coastal Sand Dunes to the Central Highlands

After breakfast, we leave Mui Ne behind and begin one of the most diverse days of our Vietnam motorbike adventure, traveling from the sandy coastline into the cooler mountain landscapes of the Central Highlands.

Our first stop is the famous Fairy Stream, a unique natural attraction where a shallow stream winds through colorful red and white sand formations. Walking barefoot through the water, you'll discover a surreal landscape shaped by wind and erosion over thousands of years. Continuing along the coast, we visit a traditional fishing village where hundreds of colorful boats gather along the shoreline. Here, your guide will share stories about the daily lives of local fishermen and the importance of fishing communities along Vietnam's southern coast.

A short ride later, we reach the spectacular White Sand Dunes, one of the most iconic landscapes in Mui Ne. Vast rolling dunes rise from the surrounding countryside, creating a scene more reminiscent of a desert than tropical Vietnam. This is the perfect place to enjoy the scenery, take photographs, or simply admire one of the country's most unusual natural wonders.

Leaving the coast behind, our motorcycle journey heads inland through winding roads and increasingly dramatic mountain scenery. Along the way, we stop at a dragon fruit farm, where you'll learn why Binh Thuan Province is considered Vietnam's dragon fruit capital. Endless rows of cactus-like plants stretch across the landscape, creating a distinctive agricultural scene unique to this region.

As we climb into the highlands, we visit a K'ho ethnic minority village. The K'ho people have lived in these mountains for generations, maintaining many of their traditional customs and cultural practices. This visit provides a fascinating glimpse into the diverse ethnic cultures that make up Vietnam's rich heritage.

The afternoon offers some of the most enjoyable riding of the tour as we follow scenic mountain roads toward Di Linh. This section is a favorite among motorcycle enthusiasts, featuring sweeping curves, cooler temperatures, and spectacular views across the Central Highlands. Before reaching town, we stop at the vast tea plantations of Di Linh. Rolling green hills covered with tea bushes create one of the region's most beautiful landscapes and offer insight into one of Vietnam's most important agricultural industries.

Arriving in Di Linh in the late afternoon, we check into our homestay and enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the Central Highlands.

DAY 4: DI LINH  → DA LAT : 130 KM

From Coffee Country to the City of Eternal Spring

Leaving Di Linh, we continue our journey through the scenic landscapes of the Central Highlands, riding along winding mountain roads surrounded by coffee farms, forests, and rolling hills. Along the way, we stop at local pepper plantations, where you can learn about one of Vietnam’s most important agricultural exports and, depending on the season, taste fresh pepper directly from the farm.

Our next stop is the magnificent Pongour Waterfall, often considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Southern Vietnam. Famous for its wide multi-tiered cascades and natural surroundings, Pongour is a perfect place to relax, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the highlands.

Continuing toward Da Lat, we visit Chicken Village, home to the K’ho ethnic people, where you can discover their unique culture, traditions, and daily way of life.

As we approach Da Lat, we visit Truc Lam Zen Monastery, one of the largest and most peaceful monasteries in Vietnam, beautifully located beside Tuyen Lam Lake and surrounded by pine forests. From here, we enjoy stunning views over the lake and the tranquil highland scenery.

Next, we stop at Robin Hill, one of Da Lat's best viewpoints, offering panoramic views of the city, surrounding mountains, and pine-covered valleys. Our final highlight is the famous Crazy House, one of Vietnam’s most unique architectural attractions, known for its surreal design inspired by nature and fantasy.

Arriving in Da Lat in the late afternoon, you will have time to explore the charming mountain city, renowned for its cool climate, flower gardens, and French colonial architecture.

DAY 5: DALAT → LAK LAKE : 160 KM

 Coffee, Waterfalls & the Heart of the Central Highlands

Your Central Highlands motorbike adventure begins at 8:30 AM as we leave the cool mountain city of Da Lat and ride through some of the region's most scenic countryside roads.

Our first stop is a local flower village, where you'll witness the vibrant agricultural life that has earned Da Lat its reputation as Vietnam's flower capital. In the early morning, farmers carefully harvest and prepare fresh flowers for markets across the country, creating a colorful and lively atmosphere.

Continuing along winding mountain roads, we visit a coffee plantation to discover why Vietnam is one of the world's largest coffee producers. Learn about the cultivation and processing of Robusta, Arabica, and Moka coffee beans while enjoying fresh coffee overlooking the beautiful highland landscape. You'll also hear about the famous weasel coffee, one of Vietnam's most unique coffee specialties.

The journey continues with a visit to a local family producing traditional rice wine, often referred to as "Happy Water". Here, you'll gain insight into the traditional distillation process and have the opportunity to sample this locally made spirit.

Next, we stop at a traditional silk workshop, where you'll learn how silk is produced from silkworm cocoons and transformed into high-quality textiles. This fascinating process offers a glimpse into one of Vietnam's oldest handicraft industries.

One of today's highlights is the spectacular Elephant Waterfall, one of the most impressive waterfalls in the Central Highlands. Nearby, we visit a Buddhist temple featuring a giant Happy Buddha and an impressive Lady Buddha statue, providing a deeper understanding of local spiritual traditions and Buddhist culture.

After lunch, we continue our motorcycle journey through rolling hills, coffee farms, and rural villages. Along the way, we visit a unique floating village, home to fishing families who have built their lives on the water, creating a fascinating community in the heart of the highlands.

The final section of today's ride takes us through scenic mountain roads, rice fields, and traditional villages before arriving at beautiful Lak Lake in the late afternoon. Surrounded by forests and ethnic minority communities, Lak Lake offers a peaceful setting to end an unforgettable first day of riding.

DAY 6: LAK LAKE → BUON MA THUOT : 120 KM

Lak Lake Sunrise Canoe & Dray Sap Waterfall

Wake up early for one of the highlights of the tour – a traditional dugout canoe trip across Lak Lake. As the morning mist drifts across the water, local fishermen begin their day while water buffalo graze peacefully along the lakeshore.

After breakfast, take a walk through a traditional M'nong village. The M'nong people have lived in this region for generations and continue to preserve many of their traditional customs, architecture, and way of life. This is a great opportunity to learn about one of Vietnam's most fascinating ethnic minority cultures.

Leaving Lak Lake behind, we ride through rural roads and agricultural landscapes toward the spectacular Dray Sap Waterfall. Surrounded by jungle and national park scenery, this is one of the most impressive waterfalls in the Central Highlands. There is time to relax, swim, and explore the surrounding area.

During the afternoon, we continue through rice fields and villages, stopping at local cocoa plantations, homemade noodles, and seasonal mushroom farms before arriving in Buon Ma Thuot, known as Vietnam's coffee capital.

DAY 7: BMT CITY → CHUSE: 160 KM

Coffee Capital, Cashew Farms & Ho Chi Minh Trail

After breakfast, we visit the Dak Lak Museum, one of the most interesting cultural museums in the Central Highlands. The museum offers insight into the history, culture, and traditions of the Ede, Jarai, and M'nong people, as well as the region's role during the Vietnam War.

Leaving Buon Ma Thuot, we ride through coffee plantations, rice fields, and quiet countryside roads before visiting a cashew plantation. Here you'll learn how one of Vietnam's most valuable export crops is cultivated and processed.

The ride continues through vast rubber plantations and beautiful rural landscapes as we join sections of the historic Ho Chi Minh Trail. Along the way, your guide will share stories about the trail's significance during the Vietnam War and its importance in modern Vietnamese history.

After lunch, we visit Phu Cuong Waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Gia Lai Province. Surrounded by volcanic rock formations and lush greenery, it provides an excellent place to relax before continuing to Chu Se.

DAY 8: CHUSE → KON TUM: 110 KM

Sea Lake, Tea Plantations & Kontum Culture

This morning, we continue along the scenic roads of the Central Highlands to visit Sea Lake, often known as the "Eyes of Pleiku". Formed within an ancient volcanic crater, the lake is one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Gia Lai Province.

Nearby, we visit one of the oldest tea plantations in the region, originally established during the French colonial period. Walk through the rolling tea fields and enjoy panoramic views over the surrounding countryside. We also stop at a historic Buddhist temple known for its impressive reclining Buddha statue before continuing to Kontum.

After lunch, explore Kontum, a peaceful town located along the Dak Bla River and home to several ethnic minority communities. Visit to Kontum's famous Wooden Church. Built in 1913, this unique landmark combines European church architecture with traditional Central Highlands influences, making it one of the most distinctive religious buildings in Vietnam. Heading to Kon K'tu Village, here you'll see traditional Rong Houses and gain a deeper understanding of Bahnar culture and local village life.

DAY 9: KONTUM → KHAM DUC: 180 KM

Legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail, waterfall & mountain scenery

 Leaving Kontum behind, we continue north along the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail. The road winds through mountains, forests, and remote villages, offering some of the most enjoyable riding of the entire journey.

Our first major stop is Ngoc Hoi, an area that played an important role during the Vietnam War. Here we visit local war memorials and learn more about the history of the region before continuing deeper into the Truong Son ranges.

One of the highlights of the day is Charlie Hill, one of the most significant battlefields of the Vietnam War. Your guide will explain the strategic importance of this area and the events that took place here during the conflict. Nearby, we also visit the former Phoenix Airport, another important military site connected to wartime operations in the Central Highlands.

Continuing along the Ho Chi Minh Trail, we reach the famous Indochina region where Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia meet. This area offers spectacular mountain scenery and provides a fascinating insight into the geography and history of the region.

After lunch, the ride continues through beautiful mountain landscapes and dense forests. We stop at a natural stream hidden among the hills, where there is time to relax, swim, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before heading towards Kham Duc.

Arrive in Kham Duc in the late afternoon after one of the most scenic riding days of the tour.

DAY 10: KHAM DUC → HOI AN: 140 KM

Mountain Passes, Waterfalls & Arrival in Hoi An

Today is the final riding day of your Central Highlands adventure, but there are still plenty of memorable experiences ahead before reaching Hoi An.

Leaving Kham Duc, we ride through some of the most beautiful mountain scenery of the trip. The road follows winding valleys, rivers, waterfalls, and traditional villages nestled among the mountains of Quang Nam Province. Along the way, we visit a small ethnic minority village where you can gain a final glimpse into local life away from the tourist routes. Continuing deeper into the countryside, we stop at a hidden waterfall surrounded by forest. Those who wish can enjoy a refreshing swim before continuing the journey. The ride then takes us through fruit-growing areas where we stop at a local pineapple farm. Enjoy fresh tropical fruit while taking in the views of the surrounding countryside before beginning our descent towards the coast.

Before reaching Hoi An, we visit an ancient Cham temple, an important reminder of the powerful Champa Kingdom that once ruled much of central Vietnam. The temple showcases the unique architecture and cultural influences that shaped the region for centuries. After lunch, the landscape gradually changes as the mountains give way to coastal plains. By mid-afternoon, we arrive in Hoi An, one of Vietnam's most beautiful and historic towns.

After six days of riding through the Central Highlands, exploring ethnic cultures, visiting waterfalls, historical sites, and following sections of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, your Easy Rider adventure comes to an unforgettable conclusion.

• Please note that the Dak Lak Museum is closed every Monday.
• While direct access to Elephant Waterfall is temporarily restricted, visitors can still admire its impressive beauty from the viewing area at Linh An Pagoda.

MOTORBIKE INFORMATION

• Easy Rider passengers will ride on Honda Winner 150cc, Honda XR150, or other reliable, larger-displacement motorcycles that are well-suited to these mountain passes and winding roads, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey.
• No scooters are used on this tour.
• Self-riding motorcycles are available for an additional rental fee.
• For self-riding guests, we recommend bringing your own riding gear, including a jacket, pants, gloves, and appropriate shoes or boots, as the sizes of our protective equipment may not be suitable for everyone.
• Guests wishing to self-ride should hold a valid International Driving Permit (IDP – 1968 Convention) together with the appropriate motorcycle licence from their home country. Some licenses may not be valid in Vietnam. Please contact us for guidance on how to ride legally in Vietnam if your license is not valid. 
• Citizens from all Southeast Asian countries can legally ride a motorbike in Vietnam using their valid domestic motorcycle license. There is no need to convert it to an International Driving Permit (IDP), according to the ASEAN agreement on mutual recognition of driving licenses among Southeast Asian countries.

LUGGAGE

• The backpack can be carried securely on the motorcycle or arranged separately upon request.

• For convenience, we recommend traveling with a backpack instead of a suitcase, as it is easier to secure on the motorcycle. If needed, we can arrange to transport your suitcase separately to the tour's endpoint; however, an additional transportation fee will apply.
